Rue

She is a small 12-year-old from district 11 that was chosen as the girl tribute to participate in the 74th annual hunger games. Being from district 11 she has dark skin, hair, and eyes. In district 11 Rue works in the trees harvesting food. This gives her an advantage in the arena because she can climb well and jump from tree to tree. She and Katniss became allies when she pointed out a tracker jacker nest to Katniss that saved Katniss's life.
